Adjust the springs on both sides of the door the same way.

I left the door in the lift bay alone and just offset the opener completely outboard of the upper rail on one side.
Once the spring is free of tension remove from its track hanger.
Look for two limit adjustment screws.
If it was opening too quickly move it to the next lower hole.
Retest the door.
Settling is a problem for garage doors as it changes the way the door sits in the frame.

Once your garage door is secured remove the spring hook from the track hanger which will allow you to move the hook and adjust the spring s tension.
You must attach the bracket that connects the arm to the door before you can attach the arm itself.
You may also have to adjust the position of the door bracket shown in the third image.
If you have a wooden garage door then you can trim the door down to make it fit properly.
Have a helper steady the ladder.
You can do this with a jigsaw or a circular saw sanding off the bottom and replacing it in the frame so it sits properly.
